Units of work are developed using a backwards design approach, ensuring alignment with the relevant curriculum or framework. The development process is guided by key and related concepts, the global context, inquiry questions, and assessment criteria. Units are designed to be student-centred through careful double-planning.
Content is scaffolded and differentiated using the Gradual Release of Responsibility Model and SOLO Taxonomy. As lessons progress within a unit, tasks become increasingly complex. This allows students who are ready for extension to move ahead, while those needing additional support can work with the teacher or teaching assistant.
Units are enhanced with high-quality resources, including structured lesson sequences delivered using PowerPoint presentations. These presentations help students follow lessons easily and can be adapted as needed to address emerging student needs.
